From 1–21 September, we're getting behind AUSactive's Million Moves challenge, a national push to get more of us active. Right now, around 75% of Australians aren't moving enough to benefit their health. We want to help change that, one minute at a time.

Here's how it works: pledge to move for 15, 30 or 60 minutes a day for 21 days. Walk, swim, lift, stretch, dance, whatever gets you going. One minute of movement equals one move.

Movement is what we do every day, and this September we're inviting our community to pledge alongside us and help build the habit, together.

We are pleased to share our new collaboration with TABOO Period Products at Thebarton Aquatic Centre.

TABOO is a South Australian social enterprise with a mission to end period poverty and reduce stigma, both locally and globally.🌏

Free period product dispensers are now available on site, providing access to pads and tampons for visitors who need them. This initiative is part of YMCA South Australia's ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive, welcoming environment for everyone.💗

A 2020 study by the South Australian Commissioner for Children and Young People found that one in four girls in South Australia lacked access to appropriate period care, often resorting to unhygienic alternatives.

By partnering with TABOO, we're helping to remove barriers to participation in sport, fitness, and recreation, particularly for young women and girls.💗
