A huge thank you to Kate’s Campaign for Change for their amazing donation of baby items to Sharehouse! 🍼

We originally reached out looking for a bassinet for a young mum who had just welcomed her baby while experiencing homelessness — and we ended up receiving a whole heap of incredible items to support young families in our community. 🥹💛

From baby essentials to some very cute Cowboys merch (pictured 🤠💙), these donations will go a long way through our Mums & Bubs group, Dads & Lads, and to any young families who come to Sharehouse needing a little extra support.

We’re so grateful for the generosity of our Townsville community and the people who continue to show up for young people when they need it most. 🫶

Yesterday our whole team took part in an inspiring training session with Andy from Breathe Australia focused on Wellbeing.🌱

The session explored how we can build focused, emotionally agile and highly connected teams — creating a culture of safety, wellbeing and greater performance.

A great opportunity to pause, reflect, learn and strengthen how we support ourselves and each other as a team. 💙

Thank you Andy and Breathe Australia for an incredibly valuable session!

The Townsville Housing and Homelessness Network Hahn Townsville and Surrounding Areas has launched a petition calling for a dedicated homeless shelter in Townsville.

Everyone deserves access to a safe place to sleep, and a dedicated shelter would provide an important place of safety, dignity and support for people experiencing homelessness in our community.

💙 Take a minute to sign the petition and help make Townsville’s voice heard.
✍️ Sign the petition here: https://www.parliament.qld.gov.au/Work-of-the-Assembly/Petitions/petition-details/4616-26

We had a great day visiting Pinangba – Stagpole Street Drug & Alcohol Rehabilitation Unit for their 50 Years of Deadly celebrations 🖤💛❤️💚🖤💙🤍

We enjoyed some amazing NAIDOC performances, learnt more about the culturally appropriate healing and support services offered, and were lucky enough to receive a tour of the facilities.

There was also some beautiful artwork on display by Art/Designs by kailin 🎨✨

Thank you to the Pinangba team for welcoming us and sharing such a meaningful day with us! 🫶🏽
