📐☀️ Angles in Action! 📐

3/4C took their maths learning outside as they explored angles in the world around them! 🌿🔍

Students were busy identifying, comparing and discussing different angles in an outdoor setting, putting their mathematical knowledge into practice in a fun and hands-on way.

It was fantastic to see 3/4C working together, using mathematical language and making connections between what they learn in the classroom and the world around them. 💙💛

What a great way to make maths active, engaging and meaningful!

🐾🛁 Prep B’s Muddy Pet Adventures! 🐶🐱

In English, our Prep students have been learning all about retelling experiences — and Prep B had a very exciting experience to share!

Their adopted pets had a wonderful play in the mud… which meant there was only one thing to do — a trip to the groomers! 🛁🐾

The students have been using their experiences to practise retelling events in the correct sequence, talking about what happened first, next and finally. It has been wonderful to see their imaginations, language and storytelling skills come to life through their learning! 💙

What a fun (and very muddy!) learning experience, Prep B! 🌟

📚✨ BOOK WEEK 2026 – DRESS-UP DAY! ✨📚

We’re celebrating Book Week 2026 with a wonderful Dress-Up Day at Kelso State School!

Students are invited to come dressed as their favourite book character and bring their favourite stories to life!

📅 Dress-Up Day: Book Week 2026
🕘 Parade starts at 9:10am
📍 Kelso State School Hall

All students will have the opportunity to parade through the hall and show off their wonderful costumes to our school community. We can’t wait to see the creativity, imagination and love of reading on display! ❤️📚

🚦 RACQ Road Safety Visit! 🚌🚲

Our Prep to Year 2 students had a fantastic visit from RACQ this week, learning some very important road and passenger safety skills! 💙💛

👣 Pedestrian safety: Stop, Look, Listen and Think before crossing the road.

🚲 Rider safety: Always wear your helmet correctly and safely when riding.

🚗 Passenger safety: Buckle up with your seatbelt and remember not to distract the driver.

It was a fun and engaging session that helped our students learn how to make safe choices on and around roads. A big thank you to RACQ for helping keep our students safe.
