“Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.” - today's World Environment Day theme calls for action on climate change and protecting our environment.

We’re proud to be delivering on that promise - powered by 100% renewable electricity since 2025. Our hydro, solar and biogas powered operations help us cut emissions by 20,000+ tonnes each year, keep our services running smoothly and help put downward pressure on bills.

And we’re not stopping there — we're also planting trees, protecting biodiversity, reducing waste and contributing to the local circular economy.

Next stop: net zero by 2030.

This year’s National Reconciliation Week theme ‘All in’ – calls for wholehearted commitment to reconciliation, from everyone every single day.

The week wraps up today, but our commitment to reconciliation doesn’t stop here - it’s something we’re working on year-round.

Some of things we've been working on with local Traditional Owners:
💧Bringing reticulated water to the K**b reserve
💧Doing Cultural Values Assessments in key water ways in our service area
💧Installing Traditional Owner artwork on the Stratford water tower and permanent water fountains
💧Returning water to Traditional Owners in the Merriman Creek in Seaspray, and lots more.

Together, we’re building stronger relationships, learning together and taking action to create a more inclusive future.

A hidden leak can waste thousands of litres of water and cost schools hundreds of dollars every week!

That's why we're inviting schools to join the Schools Water Efficiency Program (SWEP).

It’s free for schools to join, and participants save an average of $1,500 on water bills a year.

Earlier this year, Lowanna College detected a major leak through the program. If it had gone unnoticed, it could have wasted more than 21,600 litres of water every day and cost the school up to $611 a week.

Did you know we're expecting a El Nino conditions? For us, this means a drier winter is forecast. 🥵

Our water storages are healthy and well managed so even with a dry winter we’re well prepared to meet community needs.
💧Moondarra is at 88%
💧our portion of Blue Rock is at 78% capacity

Still, every little bit helps. Follow these permanent water saving rules to make the most of your water and help keep our storages strong.
🔫Always use a trigger nozzle on hand-held hoses.
🕕Only use a sprinkler to water the garden between 6pm and 10am. You can water the garden with a hand-held hose, watering can or bucket at any time.
🧹Use a broom to clean hard surfaces such as concrete, paths and driveways. Don’t use water.
⛲Use recirculated water for fountains and water features
