Our service area stretches from Drouin in the west to Loch Sport in the east, and from Mirboo North in the south to Rawson and Briagolong in the north. We provide water & sewerage services to more than 70,000 customers in Gippsland, from Drouin to Stratford. Aaaaahhh-chooooo! 🌻🐝Yep, spring has sprung.

Spring this year is forecast to be a drier one than usual but we're well prepared and our storages are looking strong.

That said, saving water is always in season. Victoria’s Permanent Water Saving Rules are in place year-round, regardless of the weather. 🌨️🌞🌧️

Follow these simple, common-sense rules to use water wisely and sustainably at home:
💧 use a trigger nozzle on hand-held hoses
💧 water gardens with a sprinkler only between 6pm and 10am
💧 use a hand-held hose, watering can or bucket at any time
💧 avoid using water to clean hard surfaces such as driveways and paths
💧 ensure fountains and water features use recirculated water.

What better way to wrap up National Science Week than by spending the day teaching kids all about the water cycle and how we make it safe to drink.

These grade fours had a great time getting hands on with a team water filtering activity.

Delivering on our commitments: Plan for the future

We promised to provide a secure and reliable water supply today, and resilient water and wastewater services for the future.

In 2025-26, we progressed our work on major projects including:
✔ a new major water main in the north-west of Drouin to sure-up the town’s water supply well into the future
✔ upgrades to the Warragul wastewater treatment plant to cater for the growing town’s needs and increased volumes of wastewater
✔ a new 50ML water storage basin at Clarkes Road, Traralgon

We’re doing maintenance works at our Moondarra Reservoir next week, from Monday 24 August to Wednesday 26 of August.

We have to turn the water off throughout, so you won’t be able to use the toilets at the picnic grounds over those days.

Keep this in mind if you're planning a visit.
