Ahoy, Triabunna Early Learning Families! πŸ΄β€β˜ οΈπŸ¦œ

Shiver me timbers, it's time to set sail for a week of adventure! Next week (September 14th - 18th) we are celebrating Talk Like a Pirate Day, and we are inviting all our little buccaneers to join in the fun by dressing up on Friday, September 18th!

Please don't feel any pressure to buy a costume!
The best pirate gear is often found right in your closet or recycling bin. A striped t-shirt, a bandana, a rolled-up cardboard tube for a telescope, or a handmade paper eye patch is absolutely perfect.

Throughout the week, we will be building a giant cardboard pirate ship, walking the plank on our outdoor balance course, and digging for hidden treasure in the sandpit.

What you need to know:

Dress-Up Day: Friday, 18th September

Wear: Your best pirate gear! (Please ensure children still wear sturdy, enclosed shoes and their broad-brimmed sun hats for outdoor play).

We can't wait to see all our mateys looking shipshape next Friday!

Warmly,
Captain Lisa & the Triabunna Early Learning Crew βš“β›΅

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL FAMILIES

Dear Families,

With several recent cases of Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease within the service, we want to ensure we are taking every measure to break the chain of infection.
If your child has had symptoms or a confirmed case of Hand, Foot, and Mouth, we kindly request a medical clearance certificate from your GP before they return to care.

This ensures that:

* Your little one is fully recovered and comfortable enough to participate in daily activities.

* All blisters have safely dried up, minimizing the risk of spreading the virus.

* We protect the health and well-being of all children, educators, and families.

These steps help guarantee that your child is fully ready to be back in care and ensures our environment remains safe for all children, educators, and families.

Thank you for your partnership and support in keeping our community healthy!

🌟 Happy Early Childhood Educators' Day! 🌟

Today, we want to take a massive moment to pause, celebrate, and say a heartfelt THANK YOU to the incredible team of educators here at Triabunna Early Learning!

To our families, you see the beautiful smiles at drop-off and the messy, happy children at pick-up. But behind the scenes, our educators are doing so much more. They are engineers building pirate ships, scientists exploring the garden, safe havens for big feelings, and the biggest cheerleaders for every new word, first step, and shared toy.

They pour their hearts into planning beautiful programs, embedding our local culture, and creating a space where every single child feels a deep sense of belonging. The dedication, patience, and love this team brings to our centre every day is truly inspiring.

To my wonderful team: Thank you for your passion, your endless energy, and the magic you bring to the children's lives every day. You are shaping the future, one playdough creation and muddy puddle at a time! 🎨🌿

Families, if you see our educators today, please join me in wishing them a Happy Educators' Dayβ€”or feel free to leave a little message of appreciation for them in the comments below! πŸ‘‡

Warmly,
Lisa

🌸 Hello Triabunna Early Learning Families! 🌸

Spring has officially sprung! As we welcome the beautiful sun/warmth back to our outdoor yard, it’s time to update our daily bags. β˜€οΈ

As of today, September 1st, our Sun Smart policy is in full swing. To keep all our little ones safe while they explore, climb, and build outside, please remember our "Slip, Slop, Slap" routine:

🧒 SLAP on a Hat: A broad-brimmed or legionnaire hat must be packed every single day. Please note that baseball caps do not offer enough protection for little ears and necks. (Remember our centre policy: No Hat, Play in the Shade!)

🧴 SLOP on Sunscreen: If possible, please apply a layer of SPF50+ sunscreen to your child before they arrive in the morning. Our educators will actively help the children reapply sunscreen throughout the day before our outdoor play blocks. If your child requires a specific sunscreen please ensure you supply one for the service or keep one in your child's bag for us to use.

πŸ‘• SLIP on Sun-Safe Clothing: Please ensure your child is dressed in clothing that covers their shoulders (t-shirts and long sleeves are perfect, but please avoid tank tops, singlets or spaghetti straps.

Friendly reminder: Please double-check that your child's name is clearly written in marker on their hat so it doesn't get lost in the sandpit!

Thank you so much for working with us to keep everyone safe and happy in the sunshine!

Warmly,
Lisa & the Triabunna Early Learning Team 🌻

Dear families
Due to unfortunate circumstances with illness in the service this week, we have not been able to hold our Book week dress up with the children. We would like to let you know that we will hold our book week next Thursday the 3rd of September so that our children can still be involved in this special event.
So please come along with your favourite book and dress as your favourite character.
We hope you join in the fun !!
Thank you

Get Ready for Book Week Dress-Up Day! πŸ›πŸ‘‘

Hi Families,

Next Thursday 27th & Friday 28th we are celebrating the magic of CBCA Book Week here at Triabunna Early Learning, and we would love for your little ones to join in the fun!

We are inviting all the children to come to the centre dressed as their favorite book character, superhero, or animal.

Please don't feel any pressure to buy a costume!
We love simple, homemade ideas. A pair of animal ears, a handmade cardboard mask, or even just wearing all green to be The Very Hungry Caterpillar is absolutely perfect. The goal is simply to celebrate our love of reading and storytelling together!

What to bring:
If your child has a favorite storybook at home, they are very welcome to bring it in on Friday so we can read it together at group time (please just make sure your child's name is written inside the cover).

We can't wait to see all the wonderful characters on Friday!

Warmly,
Lisa & the Triabunna Early Learning Team

Welcome to the Team, Chloe!
We are so excited to introduce a new face to our educator team! Please join us in giving a very warm welcome to Chloe, who has officially joined our service family.

Chloe is beginning her professional journey in early childhood education as she works toward her Certificate III in Early Childhood. She is passionate about learning the ropes of our pedagogy and is looking forward to building wonderful relationships with all of our children and families.

You will see Chloe around the centre on Mondays and Fridays.

Chloe is already a familiar part of our community as a parent; her daughter, Marley (5 months), is also in care with us. We are thrilled to now have Chloe on board as an educator, where she can share her care and enthusiasm with the whole centre.

We know how much our families value a welcoming environment, so please make sure to say "Hi" and introduce yourself when you see Chloe around on her working days!
