Big Things Happening for Speech & Language in 2026 in our amazing Centre!

We are so excited to announce a new collaborative project at Triabunna Early Learning Center designed to boost our children’s communication and language skills across all ages!
To help us create the best possible language environment, we are partnering with three amazing specialists:
• Pauline (Speech Pathologist)
• Roxanne (Gowrie Inclusion Agency Tasmania)
• Meaghan (Working Together Program)
They will be working closely with our educators, sharing their expertise to help us support speech and language development in our daily programs. You might see them popping into our centre to mentor our team and interact with the children.
We are proud to be working with such a skilled team to give our children the best start!
More information about this project will be available to families in the first couple of week in 2026.

The Importance of Cleaning Children's Water Bottles: Ensuring Safety and Hygiene
When it comes to the health and well-being of our children, cleanliness and hygiene are of utmost importance. One area that often goes overlooked is the regular cleaning of children’s water bottles. Neglecting to clean these containers properly can pose serious health risks and compromise the safety of our little ones.

* The Risks of Not Cleaning Children’s Water Bottles:
Bacterial Contamination: Without regular cleaning, bacteria can accumulate inside the bottle, leading to potential illnesses and infections.
* Mold and Fungal Growth: Moist environments inside uncleaned water bottles provide an ideal breeding ground for mold and fungi, which can trigger allergies and respiratory issues.
* Unpleasant Odours and Tastes: Residual liquids or food particles left in the bottle can cause foul odors and alter the taste of the water, discouraging children from staying hydrated.

* Method: Hand Washing with Soap and Water:
Hand washing is a simple and effective way to clean children’s water bottles.
1. Disassemble the bottle and remove any detachable parts.
Rinse all components with warm water.
2. Use a mild soap or dishwashing liquid to clean the bottle thoroughly, paying attention to hard-to-reach areas.
3. Rinse all parts again with warm water and allow them to air dry before reassembling the bottle.
