The Tully & District Chamber of Commerce would like to thank everyone who participated in this year's Read to Me day earlier this week! Whether you read a story, heard a story read, or just appreciated the bueatiful weather, we want to thank the community for coming together to celebrate the love of books with our young ones! A special thank you to all the schools and businesses that made this day possible - we wouldn't have been able to do it without you! A further thank you goes to the Rotary Club of Tully for putting on the sausage sizzle that kept everyone fed and happy throughout the morning - your ongoing support and collaboration is greatly appreciated! We are so glad everyone could participate, and look forward to next year's event!

For 40 years, communities across Australia have come together on Daffodil Day to share hope, remember loved ones, and stand alongside those whose lives have been touched by cancer. What began as a simple act of support has grown into a powerful symbol of courage, compassion, and connection.

This Daffodil Day, join us for a "Cuppa for a Cause" at the Tully Support Centre on Thursday 20 August. Together, we can honour those we have lost, support those currently facing cancer, and help bring hope to families navigating one of life's toughest journeys.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps fund vital cancer research, support services, and programs that make a real difference in the lives of Australians affected by cancer. Over a warm cuppa and good company, let's come together as a community to show that no one has to face cancer alone.

Together, we can help create a future where more Australians survive cancer and fewer families experience its heartbreak.
