Gluten Free on the Central Coast NSW The purpose of this is to share experiences on the Central Coast, surrounds and on the net in regards to Gluten Free living.

I post mostly Australian-centric news or research articles and include Central Coast, Sydney, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley reports and reviews. I want people in these areas to feel empowered and confident with places to go and be able to gain information within our area. I'll also share any information that is relevant to coeliacs or gluten sensitives of today or anything useful found on the ne

* I will repost articles of interest, so I apologise in advance if you get multiple posts in your News Feed, but this is the aim of my service to you.
* I also post when I can (I'm a stay at home Mum with 2 boys under 3 years of age (2012)) so I will inevitably clog your News Feed from time to time.
* I aim to post at least once a day, usually late at night EST. I do sometimes manage to post several times through the day if there is a lot going on around the world.
* I post articles that are from all around the world, not only Australian articles.
* I keep this community personal by sharing some of our outings and the success of visiting grocers, shops, restaurants and take aways or any products we have bought and tested.

Photos of gluten free Oreos have been going around Facebook groups since yesterday.

I noticed them on the Woolworths app Wednesday night but no photo so I waited.

But yes, definitely real. Definitely gluten free.

Bali Surprise of the Day 🌴✨

I walked into Bintang Supermarket Ubud yesterday and honestly did a double take.

There, right in front of me, was an actual gluten-free / celiac-safe section. Not just one lonely shelf with a sad packet of rice crackers hiding between the noodles and biscuits… but a proper dedicated section. 👏

And here’s the funny thing… I’ve travelled through Australia, Europe, and even the United States, and I honestly can’t remember seeing a supermarket make it this obvious and inclusive before.

Bali really is coming of age. 🌺

For anyone travelling with celiac disease or serious food allergies, you’ll understand that finding safe food overseas can sometimes feel like a full-time detective job. Like:

* “Does this sauce contain gluten?”
* “Was this cooked with soy sauce?”
* “Am I about to risk my holiday for one spring roll?” 😅

So seeing a supermarket openly recognise and support people with food allergies honestly made me ridiculously happy.

Good on you, Bintang Supermarket Ubud.
This is thoughtful. This is inclusive. And this is exactly the kind of small thing that makes travellers feel welcome and cared for. 💛

Just about everything is GF or GFO.. the quality was amazing, could not fault anything at all. Crunchy chicken pieces, calamari, beef sticks etc etc. I’m fussy and this was fresh and tasty. 👍🏽
