Following an influx in local fires our crew will be out and about tomorrow carrying out a fire safety blitz 🚒

We will be checking in with the community and helping make sure homes are as fire safe as possible including:
🚨Checking and installing smoke alarms
💧Checking local hydrants
🏡Providing advise on home fire safety

If you see our crew in the area come and say hello, whether you have a question about smoke alarms, fire plans, batteries, electrical hazards or any other safety questions, we are here to help 👋

🧑‍🚒FIRIES CLIMB FOR MND🧑‍🚒

Massive good job to the crew from 474 Unanderra who are taking part in the Firies Climb for Motor Neurone Disease.

The crew are taking on the Furber Stairs in Blue Mountains fully kitted up in structural gear and BA to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease.

Huge congratulations to 474’s Bronx Goodwin who played in the Australian Firefighters Rugby League team against the NSW Police yesterday at Allianz Stadium for the Emergency Services Cup. 🏈🧑‍🚒

The Australian Firefighters took home the win 12-6 in an amazing game 🏆🥇

Congratulations to all emergency services players on both teams was an amazing game to attend and watch!!!

Yesterday morning 474 Unanderra were called to a house fire on Central Road which was quickly upgraded to a structure fire 2nd alarm.

Upon arrival a crew in BA initiated fire attack and a primary search of the premises.

Crews from Fire and Rescue NSW Station 422 Warrawong Fire and Rescue Station 503 Wollongong Fire and Rescue NSW Station 277 Dapto assisted in fire extinguishment.

Fire and Rescue NSW Station 488 Shellharbour later attended with their HAZMAT capabilities due to the asbestos and Fire and Rescue Investigations K-9 unit additionally attended to commence investigations.
