📚BOOK CHARACTER PARADE 2026!📚

Last week, York P.S. came alive with some of our favourite book characters for our annual Book Character Parade! 🦸‍♀️🧙‍♂️👑

Our students and staff looked fantastic, with plenty of creativity, colour and bookish fun on display! A huge thank you to our families for helping bring so many wonderful characters to life. 💙💛

A huge congratulations to Jayden, who recently competed in the Sydney West Softball Championships. He showed incredible grit and determination throughout the carnival, playing 12 games, with his team placing 3rd overall. What an incredible accomplishment!

WHAT A CRACKER OF A DAY!

A fantastic way to finish our final Winter Nepean Shield for the year! All teams showed great sportsmanship, teamwork and school pride while representing us so well. 👏

A huge thank you to all our students, teachers, convenors and volunteers who made the day possible. We couldn’t do it without you! 🙌

📚✨ BOOK FAIR SUCCESS! ✨📚

As part of our Book Week and Open Day celebrations, York P.S. held an exciting Book Fair!

There was something for everyone, with a fantastic selection of graphic novels, picture books and chapter books that our students were eager to explore and take home. The fair also featured lots of other exciting items, including diaries, craft kits, posters, pens, pencils, stationery sets, erasers and much more!

It was wonderful to see so many students visiting the fair with their friends and families, carefully choosing their favourite books and goodies. Most importantly, it was fantastic to see so much excitement around books and reading! 📖❤️

We would like to say a HUGE thank you to our York P.S. community for your incredible support. Together, we processed approximately $9,000 in sales, generating around $2,500 in commission for our school! 🎉

These funds will allow us to purchase much-needed resources that will directly benefit our students and their learning.

Thank you once again to everyone who visited, purchased and supported our Book Fair. Your generosity helped make it a wonderful success, and we look forward to doing it all again next year! 📚🌟
