Highland Reserve State School This is the official page of Highland Reserve State School. Highland Reserve School was proudly opened in 2009 by the then Premier of Queensland, Anna Bligh.

Some special visitors today to visit our Preps. It's FIRST RESPONDERS DAY and we learnt that the ambulance officers are safe people and the emergency number if ever we need it, is 000.
Everyone received a colouring book. Thankyou to Mrs Osborne and a Prep E's mummy and daddy, who work as First Responders, who made this special event possible.

🌟 Student Success Spotlight – Congratulations Kiara! 🌟

A huge congratulations to Kiara on her outstanding achievement at the recent competition. Over four days of competition, Kiara played exceptionally well and helped the South Coast team finish the tournament undefeated! πŸ†

To top off an incredible performance, Kiara was also selected in the Queensland Shadow Team, a fantastic recognition of her talent, dedication and hard work.

We are so proud of your efforts, Kiara, and look forward to following your sporting journey. Well done! πŸ‘

πŸ“£ We Need Your Input πŸ“£

Our next P&C General Meeting is coming up on Tuesday 9 June, and we’d love to see more parents and carers come along.

This meeting will include an open discussion about the future direction of the P&C, including:

β€’ What should our fundraising priorities be over the next 1–3 years?
β€’ What projects would have the biggest impact on our children?
β€’ How can we increase parent involvement and volunteer support?
β€’ How can we run events more efficiently and sustainably?

Like many school P&Cs, a small group of volunteers is currently carrying much of the workload. Our Executive team is passionate and committed, but we’re also a completely new team still learning the ropes.

We’d love more families to join the conversation, share ideas, offer feedback and help shape where we go next.

You don’t need to volunteer for everything, join a committee or commit to helping at every event. Sometimes a fresh idea, a different perspective or helping with one small project can make a huge difference.

Congratulations to Bella, Edie and Macy who proudly represented the Broadwater Football team at the recent South Coast trials. We are incredibly proud of the effort, determination and sportsmanship they displayed throughout the process. They represented both their school and district with pride, and should be very proud of their achievements. Well done, girls! βš½πŸ‘

The Senior Athletics Carnival (Years 4–6) is just around the corner and will be held on Friday, 12 June. Please take a look at the timetable, as we would love parents and carers to come along and support our wonderful HRSS students.
Please note that the 200m (9:50–10:50am) and 800m (2:00–3:00pm) races will be held on Thursday, 11 June due to time constraints on the main carnival day. Any eligible student wishing to participate in these events may nominate themselves on the day.
We look forward to welcoming our school community to this exciting event. If there are any changes due to weather conditions, we will keep families informed.
Please contact Mr McCracken ([email protected]) if you have any questions!
