Following the very welcome rain over the past week and the countryside greening up, we've been getting a few enquires about the status of the recent Local Fire Ban.
Please note that the most recent Local Fire Ban across Gympie Region, extended through to midnight of Monday 27 October of last week.
Thank you for observing the restrictions and keeping fire out of the landscape during this period of High Fire Danger.
Most areas are now experiencing Moderate Fire Danger conditions.
In these conditions all fires still need to be monitored with water on hand and any material that exceeds 2m x 2m x 2m can only be lit under a Permit to Light Fire and its accompanying conditions.
You can monitor the daily Fire Danger Ratings in your area, stay informed of any Fire Bans in place, and find out about how to obtain a Permit to Light Fire here: https://www.fire.qld.gov.au/prepare/bushfires
You can also reach out to Veteran Rural Fire Brigade directly.
Send us a message here πŸ‘‡and we'll aim to get back to you as soon as possible πŸ™‚
