We are thrilled to announce the opening of our newly upgraded playground at Kinghorne Park in Bonnyrigg Heights. We think kids will love the new castle themed playground. Check it out for yourself!

We are investing in upgrading our smaller playgrounds so local families can get out and active together. We have other playground upgrades in the pipeline. In the coming year we will also be upgrading playgrounds at Chisholm Park, St Johns Park; Lalich Park, Bonnyrigg and Bold Park, Cabramatta West.

If your local park hasn't been upgraded recently, don't worry - Council is working through all our parks to bring improvements City-wide.

🌏 Happy World Environment Day! 🌱 Did you know that food and garden waste can make up a large portion of household waste sent to landfill?

When food waste is buried in landfill, it breaks down and produces methane, a greenhouse gas that contributes to climate change. By using your FOGO bin, your food and garden waste can be turned into valuable compost instead of generating harmful emissions.

Every banana peel, vegetable scrap and grass clipping placed in your FOGO bin helps:
✅ Reduce greenhouse gas emissions
✅ Divert waste from landfill
✅ Create nutrient-rich compost for agriculture and landscaping
✅ Support a more sustainable future

This World Environment Day, make a simple change that makes a big difference.
🌿 Put your food scraps in your FOGO bin and help protect our environment.
