Dingo trip to the vet. As our beautiful dingo is diabetic and going blind, trips to the vet are a regular occurrence. We try to make it enjoyable for her by taking her for walks before and after. What's the verdict? She is healthy, though her eyesight has deteriorated further. You can help return her eyesight by making a donation to contribute to her cataract surgery. We are so close to having enough funds! Please help if you can. Just follow the link in our profile. ๐Ÿพโ™ฅ๏ธ

Weโ€™re working hard to open the Wollemi Wildlife Hospital so native wildlife across the Central West and Blue Mountains can get urgent, local care. Weโ€™re still a long way from our $250,000 goal.

If youโ€™re able to donate or share, it truly helps.

Full story belowโ€ฆ

At Secret Creek Sanctuary, we care for endangered native species and run vital breeding programs โ€” but weโ€™re not allowed to take in injured wildlife from the public. When people call us for help, all we can do is refer them to volunteer wildlife carers, who do extraordinary work with very limited resources.

Local vets do an incredible job under pressure. Theyโ€™re also running busy practices, and when wildlife comes through the door, they arenโ€™t paid for that work either. They do it because they care โ€” even when it adds strain to an already full day, and even when they donโ€™t have the specialist facilities or expertise that complex wildlife cases need.

Volunteer wildlife carers step in to help โ€” often driving long distances, paying for supplies themselves, and doing it all for love. They donโ€™t get paid for the countless hours they spend rescuing, feeding, treating and rehabilitating native animals. What the Wollemi Wildlife Hospital will do is give carers and vets somewhere to turn when cases need specialist facilities or wildlifeโ€‘specific veterinary expertise that simply isnโ€™t available in our region right now.

Across the Central West and Blue Mountains, this gap means long travel times, delayed treatment, and far too often - heartbreaking losses.

The Wollemi Wildlife Hospital will change that.
It will support:
โ€ข the endangered animals already in Secret Creek Sanctuary's care
โ€ข volunteer wildlife carers across the region
โ€ข local vets who need specialist backup
โ€ข members of the public who find injured native animals

Weโ€™re working hard to bring this hospital to life, but we need help to get there.
If you can donate or share the fundraiser, it truly makes a difference.

Dollar for dollars donations will be matched!

We are so grateful to hear that a local supporter will not only contribute to Kela's surgery costs, but will match every dollar donated for the next $2,000!

This is amazing news and we are so grateful for everyone's support. It now seems possible that we will raise the funds so that Kela can have the necessary surgery to return her eyesight and give her back a good life with her Dingo family.

Every dollar helps. Visit our Go Fund Me page here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/vision-for-a-wild-at-heart-dingo-support-kelas-surgery.
