On Monday Banksia students completed some field work during HISE at school, collecting both quantitative and quantitative data. Students counted cars passing the school. listened to different birds and used hoops to select a section of ground and recorded what their findings were.

On such a cold day nothing is better than warm soup. Students in year 5 and 6 made pumpkin soup today for the school. They used pumpkins and sweet potatoes we grew in our veggie garden. The students showed great knife safety skills, resilience (pumpkin is hard to peel) and teamwork. Everyone enjoyed a nice warm lunch today.

Today we had an informative and productive day at the Riverina Environmental Education Centre learning all about soil! Students explored the importance of healthy soil and even used microscopes to observe microorganisms moving in compost samples. A hands-on and engaging learning experience for everyone involved!

Today, students enjoyed an exciting gymnastics session where they practised balance, coordination, and movement skills through a range of fun activities and challenges.

Students enjoyed creating beautiful pictures using natural items found around the school grounds.
Leaves, sticks, flowers, and bark were transformed into imaginative works of art as students explored creativity through nature last week.

We are so excited to be working with Cathie Egan and Darren Wighton to create a new mural in our school. On Tuesday students got to share their ideas about what is important at our school.

Years 3 to 6 have had a wonderful day at Mama and the Albury Library Museum, learning about Wiradjuri culture and language. With a focus on Auntie Ruth Davys message about culture and Jazz Money's art work. We also got the explore the dinosaur exhibition.
