Morgan's Lookout

Morgan's Lookout Morgan's Lookout is an incredibly beautiful environmental asset located 8 km NW of Walla Walla on the Billabong Creek. Enjoy!

Morgan's Lookout is a beautiful spot for a picnic with family and friends. Located 8 km NW of Walla Walla there is a gravel track to the top of the hill where you will find some huge granite rocks. The views from the car park are good, but if you're able to climb the stairs to the top of the rock the views are even better. Many people for many generations have grown up with memories from visiting

the lookout and the Paech family invites you to come and experience it too. Morgan's Lookout is privately owned land which is kindly made available to the public by the Paech family free of charge. We run a farming business with sheep and cropping on the surrounding property. Set among a farming landscape the views from the lookout are always changing with the seasons. There are a few simple rules when visiting the site: stick to the roads; clean up after yourself; be careful when climbing the rock; respect the site and other visitors and no entry after dark.

A huge thankyou to the crew from Boys To The Bush for helping me mow around the lookout. With Father's Day this weekend there is no more significant time to double down on helping our young men develop strong male relationships in this world. 5 years ago I ran into these guys visiting Morgan's Lookout and we haven't looked back since, love you guys and the great work you do.

The rocks are alive! Don't forget the little guys. Mosses and lichens are the filters of the system and often go unnoticed, they are what give the rocks their amazing colours. After a bit of rain they are coming to life. If you look closely you will find different species on the North side to the South side, some like it hotter than others.

When you make a , many of your friends and family will likely want to come visit!

Here's just one of many locations you can show off!.

Morgan’s Lookout is a massive white granite outcrop that bushranger Dan Morgan is said to have used as a vantage point to watch for approaching police in the 1800s. It was also used as a district lookout for bushfires during the 20th century.

Visitors can enjoy magnificent 360-degree views of the region from a new viewing platform. There are many picnic spots around the rock formation, and pit toilets are available.
