INCIDENT ~ MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT

LOCATION ~ The Northern Rd, Luddenham.

DETAILS ~ Our firefighters are currently working with other emergency services at a motorcycle accident.

OTHER DETAILS ~ All Northbound lanes of  The Northern Road are currently blocked at the intersection of Elizabeth Drive.

UPDATE ~ 11:55pm, The accident has been cleared and all northbound lanes on The Northern Road have now reopened.

INCIDENT ~ MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT and FIRE.

LOCATION ~ The intersection of Carrington Rd and Bowman Rd, Londonderry.

DETAILS ~ This afternoon, our firefighters worked alongside other NSW Rural Fire Service and Fire and Rescue NSW crews at a multi-vehicle accident, along with all other emergency services.

OTHER DETAILS ~ The incident involved a truck carrying a large LPG tank, which caught fire and spread to nearby grass.

INCIDENT ~ MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT

LOCATION ~ Park Rd, Wallacia.

UPDATE ~ 1:50pm Police are remaining on site until the motorcycle is recovered, all other emergency services are leaving the scene.

DETAILS ~ Our firefighters are working with other emergency services at a motorcycle accident.

OTHER DETAILS ~ Park Road remains open to traffic in both directions at a reduced speed limit.

Today is St Florian's Day, also known as International Firefighters' Day. Earlier today, at the NSW Rural Fire Service St Florian's Day awards ceremony, one of our volunteer firefighters Daniel, along with others who were part of the first RFS crew deployed to the 2025 Queensland Flood (Townsville), were recipients of a Commissioner's Certificate of Commendation (Unit) for their tireless efforts and adaptability during the deployment, helping to ensure the safety and wellbeing of local communities.

We congratulate Daniel and everyone else who was recognised at today’s St Florian's Day awards ceremony.

Earlier today, some of our members and heavy tanker were part of the Strategic Security HMV Team, that helps keep our veterans and the public safe during the ANZAC Day march in Sydney, which included many heavy vehicles from a number of emergency services.

Today we remember and honour our ANZAC's, along with all the other men and women of the Australian Defence Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice, whilst serving our great country. We also show our gratitude and appreciation to those who are currently serving and veterans who have served in the past.

INCIDENT ~ MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT

LOCATION ~ Silverdale Rd, Silverdale

UPDATE ~ 3:30am, The vehicle has been removed from the roadway and Silverdale Rd is now OPEN in both directions.

DETAILS ~ Our firefighters are assisted Silverdale Rural Fire Brigade and Fire and Rescue NSW Station 489 Warragamba, along with other emergency services at a motor vehicle accident vehicle.

OTHER DETAILS ~ Silverdale Rd is currently blocked in both directions between Lewis St and Warradale Rd.

PLANNED BURN ~ Whitegates Hazard Reduction

LOCATION ~ Londonderry. (Penrith LGA)

DETAILS ~ Our firefighters are currently working other firefighters from across the NSW Rural Fire Service - Cumberland/Macarthur District to conduct a 30ha Hazard Reduction burn that will help reduce bushfire risk to a number of residents in the area.

LOCATION ~ Elizabeth Dr, Kemps Creek

DETAILS ~ During the night our firefighters have worked with Fire and Rescue NSW Station 101 Bonnyrigg Heights to extinguish and overhaul a compacting machine located at a waste facility plan in Kemps Creek.

PLANNED BURN ~ Woronora Dam Hazard Reduction

LOCATION ~ Woronora Dam (Campbelltown LGA)

DETAILS ~ Some of our firefighters, along with other NSW Rural Fire Service Brigades, have spent today assisting WaterNSW with a 103ha hazard reduction burn to reduce the bushfire risk in the area.
