🎯It is Week 9 and that means we are nearly halfway through Mrs Smith's 'Rise to 3 R's' challenge. Make sure you continue to hit her targets in the key areas of Respect, Responsibility and Reaching all the way to the end of the term. Her colour run and slime day will be an event not to be missed!!

🌭This will be the final week for our Thursday hotdogs. There will be NO hotdogs in Week 10.

🏈Best of luck to all students travelling to Chinchilla on Friday for the Battle of the West touch competition. Thank you to the coaches who have given up their time for training sessions.

🥎We wish the P&C all the very best with their Golden Glove fundraiser on Saturday and their plans to honour our beloved teacher Mrs Joy Baker. We know that all in attendance will have a fantastic day. The P&C have been working very hard to pull off a successful event.

📅Please note that our Year 10 Graduation will be held on Friday, 27th November and Presentation Night will be on Tuesday, 8th December.

Have a wonderful Week 9!

❤️Jump Rope for Heart❤️
Late last month, we held our Jump Rope for Heart 'Jump Off' to celebrate a month of practising our jumping skills.

We are excited to report that we have raised over $7,000 for the Heart Foundation through the hard work of our students and the generosity of many donors.

Thank you to Miss Stewart for co-ordinating this fantastic challenge, the many parents who supported the cause and of course those who donated their hard-earned cash to help the Heart Foundation.

From Paddock to Product:
Learning from Guluguba Pastures

Our Year 9/10 Economics and Business students recently had the pleasure of welcoming Nikki Sweeney from Guluguba Pastures into the classroom to share the story behind her and husband Tim's local agricultural business.

Nikki spoke with students about how Guluguba Pastures markets its products, works with suppliers and builds strong relationships with customers and other businesses. She explained that successful business is not just about producing a quality product,
it also relies on good communication, planning, trusted partnerships and understanding what customers value.

Students also learned more about the farm itself. Guluguba Pastures is a local family-run agricultural business producing pasture-raised eggs. Their hens have access to open paddocks where they can roam, scratch and forage naturally, with a
strong focus on animal care, pasture management and looking after the land.

The visit brought classroom learning to life, helping students connect topics such as marketing, suppliers, supply chains, customer needs and business decision-making with a real local enterprise.

A big thank you to Nikki and Guluguba Pastures for taking the time to visit our students and share such practical, real-world knowledge. Opportunities like this are a wonderful reminder of the skills, innovation and enterprise that exist right here in our
own community.
