Some of our members aswell as members from the Wangaratta Fire Brigade- CFA were fortunate to attend a training session on Monday night with the Fire rescue Victoria staff from station 74. Informing us about the process for hazardous materials and showing us the different detectors.

At our recent 125th Anniversary, we had the pleasure of having Uniform Photography come up to Wangaratta and take Brigade, Officers, and BMT (Brigade Management Team) photos, as well as photos from our dinner.

Recently, The South Wangaratta Fire Brigade marked our 125th Anniversary
With a celebration at the Wangaratta Turf Club
We welcomed special guests, including the Deputy Chief Officer Gary Cook ASFM, Assistant Chief Fire Officer Brett Myers, Commander Peter Bell and Rural City of Wangaratta Mayor Irene Grant.

Deputy Chief Officer Gary Cook paid a touching tribute to the late Graham Colson, OAM. Gary presented a framed commemorative plaque to the Colson family as a thank you for his dedication to the South Wangaratta and surrounding communities.

Ian and Sue Sheldrick received the National Medal for diligent service in organizations dedicated to protecting life and property

At Monday night training, Matt Thomas ran us through Ropes and Ladders. He instructed us on how tie off gear to hoist on to roofs etc
