We run the Freeza program in Wangaratta; Creative Youth Crew *C
FReeZA is a Victorian Government initiative that supports young Victorians to get involved in their community by planning and running drug, smoke and alcohol-free music and cultural events for other young people. The FReeZA program is an innovative youth development program that provides opportunities for young Victorians aged 12-25

across metropolitan, regional and rural Victoria to enjoy live band gigs, dance parties and other cultural, recreational and artistic events that are drug, alcohol and smoke-free in supervised and safe venues. If you are interested in joining our C*C please email [email protected]

The Rural City of Wangaratta's Australia Day Awards celebrate the achievements and contributions of individuals and community groups in our region. These prestigious awards are one of the highest honours a Council can bestow to publicly acknowledge local heroes, whose dedication and contributions may otherwise go unnoticed.

We have Beth & Bonnie from our Amplify group performing!

Beth and Bonnie are two 15-year-old musicians, who came together through school and bonded over their love of performing. Their style of music consists of soft pop and ballads. Bonnie plays the acoustic guitar, while Beth sings.

Bring your dinner or some snacks. Bring your friends and come hang out at the Wangaratta Library.

While progress has been made, many LGBTQIA+SB young people still experience bullying, discrimination, exclusion and isolation.

Too many young people continue to feel unsafe at school, unsupported at home or invisible in their communities. Representation, belonging and connection remain as important as ever.

Wear It Purple continues to exist because every young person deserves to feel safe, celebrated and empowered at school, at home, at work and in their community.

We believe that when young people are supported to be themselves, they can thrive.

🎨Are you aged 12-25?
📸Do you work, live, school or play in Wangaratta?
🖍️Would you like to enter a piece or two in our Youth Art Exhibition which will be on display in January 2027 at the Bainz Gallery at the Wangaratta Library?

You do not have to know what you will enter yet!
This is a placeholder to let us know you want to enter the Exhibition!
Your piece/s can be Photography, Painting, Drawing, Mixed Media or Sculpture.

CLOSES November 6.
Work to be dropped off the week of December 14
Work on display January in the Bainz Gallery (Wangaratta Library foyer)
