Beyond Ice uses facts to fight the myths and misconcep
tions of methamphetamine use. It's an information campaign to help us to know what to do if we, or someone we know, has a problem with drug use. We want to reduce the stigma of ice use. Let’s all recognise that to positively influence the impact of drugs we need our community to be well-informed, supportive and compassionate, rather than judgemental and condemnatory. Ice and drug use are complex issues that cannot be resolved in isolation. That’s why Beyond Ice is a multi-pronged approach that unifies our community with assistance, advice, and experts from our health, education and enforcement sectors. We’re local. Beyond Ice is an initiative of the Wangaratta Local Drug Action Team (formerly known as the Wangaratta Ice Steering Committee). We’re a group that first got together in 2015 to look at ways to better coordinate and communicate local services and initiatives. Our project is made possible thanks to support from the Australian Government and Australian Drug Foundation. It is auspice by The Centre, Wangaratta.
