Yarra Ranges Highway Patrol - Not So Fun Police.

A 19-year-old P Plater was hoping for a bit of fun last night, loading up his fully sick Ford Falcon with four spare tyres and heading out to Warburton to engage in a 'fun' activity, only to be thwarted by a Highway Patrol unit specifically tasked to disrupting hoon offending in the Yarra Valley.

Firstly, he was observed speeding, and when intercepted was found to be driving unregistered, and had previously received a major defect notice that had not been cleared.

Unfortunately for him, he received 3 penalty notices totalling, $2300 and 6 demerit points.

Some of readers will see this as revenue raising, we see it as road safety and keeping other road users safe on the roads.
