We meet at Warner's Bay Sports Club - 6.30pm 2nd Wed each month for a dinner meeting. Kiwanis is designed for individuals desiring personal involvement in the leadership and improvement of their communities to come together with other like-minded people to achieve as a group what they cannot do alone.

Another well received early Father's Day visit from our Aktion Clubbers with their cards and chocolates.
Several of the Dads in the two aged homes remembered us from last year which is lovely.

Day 1 of the District Convention was mostly business during the day - but who says it has to be boring!
After a board meeting in the morning, other business was discussed and presentations were made after lunch. Guest speakers were excellent. Rev Bill Crews and Kirsty-Leah Goymour.
The formal dinner was a chance to mix with friends and included the induction of the new board taking over on 1st Oct.

It's Convention time again! This year in Sydney and it starts tomorrow 21st August.
Many arrived early and caught up for pre-dinner drinks in Gov Steve's room before dinner as is a tradition!

Bryen and Gaile attended the Celebration of Sue Prosser's Life at Newcastle City Hall yesterday, representing Newcastle Kiwanis and Aktion Club members.

Bryen said the Hall was full and it was standing room only.
It was a fitting recognition of a life well lived in service to others through Soul Hub.
