This morning, Year 4 and Year 6 invited parents in to share in their learning.

Year 4 took us to the rainforest, sharing all about different animals and features of the rainforest. 🍃

Year 6 continued their learning with their families about their future careers. Their parents challenged them with some great questions and engaged in conversations about students future career path possibilities. 🥘🚓 🥖 🩺🏀

Thank you to our staff and students for putting together a great showcase of learning and to our families for coming in to celebrate and share!

Yesterday our Year 1 students enjoyed a marvellous minibeast incursion! 🐞🦋

We welcomed Sam and his special spiny helper, Stephanie, for a hands-on learning experience all about minibeasts. Students explored leaf litter to discover creatures such as crickets, slaters and centipedes, created their own clay minibeasts, and coloured wristbands to mimic warning colours found in nature.

There were lots of excited smiles as students fed butterflies and even held stick insects!

What a wonderful way to bring our learning to life. 🐛

Across our school students are working on their MOI growth points. Using manipulative resources, cards, whiteboards and help from each other, these are just some of the ways we practice so we can grow and learn together.

Our Year 6 students are currently exploring their unit, “Pathways and Possibilities.” 📚 🔨 🚔
This unit of learning has been enriched by the inclusion of guest speakers. This authentic dimension to the unit has encouraged students to explore possible career pathways along with being able to identify the similarities and differences between jobs and careers.
Thank you to our community members, including parents and past students, who have and continue to share their career with our students.

✨ “Mentor texts help us grow - one idea at the time” 🪴

Across our school we use mentor texts to help our students learn by showing them what great reading and writing look like. With each story they explore, they gather new ideas build confidence and grow into writers of their own.
