Warragul Fire Brigade would like to take this National Volunteer Week to thank not only our members, but all those of the brigades nearby. All your local brigades are 100% volunteer and as you rely on us in times of need, brigades also support each other.

Thank you to all our neighbouring brigades!

National Volunteer Week runs May 18th - 24th, and this year's theme is "Your Year to Volunteer".

This National Volunteer Week, we would like to sincerely thank all our volunteers! So many people give their time, skills, and dedication to our brigade and community. Responding to emergencies is only the start. Volunteers support community events, deliver fire safety education, fundraising, training, and much more. Our volunteers are the heart of Warragul Fire Brigade. Your commitment, teamwork, and willingness to help others does not go unnoticed. Thank you for the countless hours you give to help keep our community safe. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of our volunteers. National Volunteer Week runs May 18th - 24th, and this year's theme is "Your Year to Volunteer".

🚨This week we visited Warragul Regional College for a road crash rescue demonstration, together with the Warragul Fire Brigade.

⚒️ During the session we shared the steps we take when we respond to vehicle accidents. The students got to see and hear the tools at work and understand how every minute matters when extricating patients.

Today is the start of National Road Safety Week, and an important reminder that we all have a part to play in making our roads safer. We hope demonstrations like this help to increase awareness of the hazards that exist and what we can do to look out for each other on the roads so we all make it home safely 🧡.

Special thanks to Drouin Scrap Metal for once again supplying our vehicle for the demo.

We pause today to commemorate ANZAC day; the 111th anniversary of the landing of Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) troops at Gallipoli. We remember the sacrifices of those who have served in all conflicts and peacekeeping operations, past and present, as well as their families.

Lest we forget
