The Run Beyond Project for our WRC Crew is just around the corner!

With training intensity building, our students are putting in the effort, challenging themselves and getting closer to the finish line.

We can’t wait to celebrate their incredible achievement when they cross that finish line! 🏁

🧱 Building Social Skills, One Brick at a Time! 🧱

This term, selected students at Warragul Regional College are taking part in our Lego™ Club, a small-group social skills program designed to build confidence and strengthen social communication through the fun and engaging experience of Lego™-Based Therapy.

Working together in small groups, students take on different roles as they build Lego™ sets, developing important skills such as turn-taking, sharing, listening, problem-solving, negotiating, teamwork and accepting the ideas of others.

The program is facilitated by Education Support staff member Jess, who has undertaken training in Lego™-Based Therapy.

Pictured are Year 8 students Aiden and Josh, who worked together to build the iconic DeLorean!

We’re excited to see our students building connections, confidence and communication skills — one brick at a time!

On Friday our ACE students participated in the ICAS competition!

The ICAS competition is an internationally recognised academic challenge that gives students the opportunity to test their skills, stretch their thinking and be recognised for their achievements beyond the boundaries of everyday schoolwork 🧠📚✏️

We recently received a heartfelt message from a former WRC student, and it was too special not to share.

It was a wonderful reminder that while looking to the future is important, so too is reflecting on our past and recognising the students, staff and families who have helped make WRC the school it is today.

We know there are so many WRC memories and stories out there, and we’d love to hear them! 💭

If you’re a past student, staff member or family and have a story, memory or photo from your time at WRC, please send it through to us. We’d love to celebrate more of our school’s history and the people who are part of it. 💙

Congratulations to Ava Lennox for achieving her Bronze Duke of Ed Award!

Ava completed an exploration of Wilson's Prom for her Adventurous Journey.

For her skill Ava learned how to cook delicious pasta dishes; she played basketball for her Physical Recreation and she supported our school Breakfast Club for her Service.

Fantastic effort Ava! 🌳🏕️🍝

Join us for a special evening in support of Oscar, Buddy and Chaplaincy at WRC 🐾

Oscar and Buddy are an important part of our Chaplaincy program, helping provide a caring, welcoming and trusted presence for our students. Together, they help young people feel supported, connected and able to thrive as they navigate the challenges of school and life.

Come along for a Dinner & Silent Auction, with funds raised supporting the important work of Chaplaincy at WRC.

Schools netball championship Traralgon 🏐

On a trying day with rough conditions and some fierce competition, our Intermediate and Senior girls finished the day with an Interschool game.

Our senior team concluded the day with 2 wins, while unfortunately our Intermediate team did not get a win on the board.

The girls played the way we hoped with the upmost respect for other players and the umpires, representing the school with pride!
