Warrnambool Neighbourhood and Community Centre is proud to be supported by the Victorian Public Tenants Association in helping public housing renters in our community who are experiencing food insecurity and financial hardship.
Thanks to their generous funding, we have been able to expand the support offered through our Open Pantry program. While many people know our pantry for providing food and essential groceries, we also see a growing need for everyday household items that can place significant pressure on already stretched budgets.
To help address this, we have created Home Essential Kits, now ready for distribution. Each kit contains practical household necessities such as dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent, garbage bags, cleaning wipes, gloves and sponges- items that play an important role in maintaining a safe, clean and healthy home.
These kits are designed to ease some of the everyday financial stress faced by individuals and families in our community, ensuring support extends beyond food relief alone.
We are excited to be working together on this important initiative and sincerely thank the Victorian Public Tenants Association for helping us make a meaningful difference in the lives of local residents. ๐
