A massive congratulations to everyone from the Warwick SES group who were recognised today at the Southwest regional awards ceremony held here in Warwick. Our members were recognised across several areas including emergency response medals. International women's day awards and regional awards.

A massive congratulations to the following members.

Dan Mcarthur - Emergency Response Medal

Matt Sondergeld - Emergency Response Medal and Regional Trainer of the Year.

John Goonan - Emergency Response Medal

Janine Hegarty - International Women's Day Trailblazer Award

Harrison King - Regional Young Member of the Year.

Jason Schluter - SES Regional Achievement Award.

Warwick Group was also honoured to receive a highly commended for Regional Operational Respone for the severe weather events that hit Warwick and the surrounding areas late last year.

A massive congratulations to everyone who received awards from Warwick and Stanthorpe Groups as well as eveyone across the Southwest region and a massive congratulations to all the members of Warwick group.

Over the past several months, we’ve had the privilege of recognising and promoting several of our dedicated members.

Jenny and Cheryl have progressed from probationary members to full community members.

Lachlan and Mick have advanced from community members to Field Operations Members (1 stripe).

Harrison and Andy have earned their promotions to Senior Field Operations Members (2 stripes).

We would also like to make a special acknowledgement of Cheryl, who received her promotion from the Southern Downs Local Controller who is also her son, Matthew.

A massive congratulations to everyone who has achieved a promotion. We’re excited to see where your SES journey takes you next and are grateful for the commitment you bring to our team.

Happy Easter from the Warwick SES!

We hope everyone enjoys a safe, relaxing, and joy‑filled long weekend with family and friends. While you’re out and about, please take care on the roads, around water, and during any holiday activities.

Your Warwick SES volunteers remain on standby throughout the break, ready to assist our community whenever needed.

Recently we had the privilege of witnessing several Warwick and Southern Downs members receive their emergency response medals for their service during significant weather events over the last 12 months.

A special mention goes out to Robyn who was also presented with a challenge coin and anchor pin on behalf of Northern region in recognition of her efforts on recent deployments to Normanton.

Have you ever thought about volunteering with the SES? Now is your chance.

The Warwick SES is now recruiting and we will be hosting an open day on Saturday the 14th of February.

Come on down and meet our volunteers and check out all of our equiptment.

There will be plenty of fun for the whole family with a jumping castle and a sausage sizzle available.

So if you or someone you know has ever thought about volunteering for the SES and is over the age of 16, join us at 4 Alice St Warwick and see what we are all about.
