Nominations are open for the 2026 LYRiK Awards!
The LYRiK Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements, leadership, contributions and talents of young people aged 10 to 24 who live, work, study or volunteer in the City of Kwinana. The awards provide an opportunity to recognise young people who are making a positive difference in our community and achieving great things in their chosen fields. The program is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary year.

Our Wellard Primary School community truly represented a 'Symphony of Stories' this Book Week parade, with students and staff stepping into the pages of their favourite books through an amazing range of costumes! From classic characters to minion heroes, creativity and a love of reading were on full display. Thank you to everyone who joined the fun and helped make this year's celebration of books, imagination, and adventure so special.

Join in on one of our Principal’s Tours – Thursday 10 September, 9:00–10:30am
We warmly invite families of current and prospective students to visit our school for a Tour of the facilities and gain an understanding of the opportunities available for our students.
The 45 minute Tour will commence at 9:00am from the Administration Office at the front of the school. Morning tea and a Question & Answer session will follow the Tour in the conference room. We will answer your questions honestly; explaining our ethos and our passions.
College Tours provide prospective and current families the opportunity to visit the school during a normal day, visiting the places where learning and engagement take place and to provide a true sense of Gilmore College. The student leaders in particular are a great source of authentic information about what it means to be a Gilmore College student day to day.
Please note, this is a ‘parents only’ tour. (Students who enrol at Gilmore College will visit the school for their orientation day in Term 4).
