Stuck in traffic? Wyndham residents know the frustration all too well.

As our city grows, we need the roads and infrastructure to keep pace. Through our A Way Forward for Wyndham advocacy campaign, we're calling on all candidates and parties to fund critical road upgrades that will reduce congestion, improve safety and help our community stay connected.

Our priorities include:

• Upgrading and duplicating Dohertys Road between Palmers Road and Derrimut Road.
• Duplicating Old Geelong Road/Sayers Road between Fitzgerald Road and Derrimut Road.
• Duplicating Boundary Road between Derrimut Road and Palmers Road.
• Duplicating Point Cook Road from Aviation Road to the Princes Freeway interchange.
• Upgrading the Duncans Road/Synnot Street intersection and signalising the Duncans Rd/Edwards Rd intersection
• Upgrading Heaths Road between Tarneit Road and Ballan Road.
• Duplicating Ballan Road from Armstrong Road to Bolton Road.
• Upgrading the Derrimut Road/Hogans Road roundabout.

It's time to deliver the infrastructure Wyndham deserves.

I am thrilled that the $80 million Ison Road extension is nearly complete and will open to the public in September!

Delivered by Big Build Roads on behalf of Wyndham City, this project connects the existing Ison Road Overpass with the Princes Highway, getting you home sooner and safer.

Standing together with my fellow Councillors to advocate for The Big Shed in Truganina. This exciting project would create a flexible community events venue for up to 1,500 people and provide more opportunities for residents to connect, celebrate and participate in community life.

As we head towards the State Election, we're calling for investment in the infrastructure Wyndham needs and deserves.

I was honoured to attend the Ison Road community day earlier today and see the new road first-hand before it opens to the public in early September.

The event, which was hosted by Big Build Roads, was a great opportunity for the community to walk along sections of the new road, and there was plenty of free activities for the whole family to enjoy.

I'm looking forward to seeing this important connection open to traffic, helping our community get home sooner and safer.

Great to catch up with Geelong Mayor Stretch Kontelj at Werribee Station earlier this week to discuss the issues that matter most to our growing communities.

We reaffirmed Wyndham and Greater Geelong's joint advocacy for the return of a direct rail connection between Werribee and Geelong stations, as outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding endorsed by both councils.

With almost one million people living across our municipalities, restoring this important link would strengthen connections between two of the west's major centres and create better transport options for residents, workers and visitors.

Well done to all the men, women and juniors who have participated in footy this season across Wyndham. A special congratulations to those who have already competed in or have upcoming finals. I’d also like to acknowledge all those coaches, families and volunteers who commit their time to local sporting clubs each week and are so important to the success of a team.

Today I'm celebrating International Dog Day with Gypsy and Georgie, my beloved toy poodles.

Whether they're enjoying a morning Smackos treat or curled up beside me on the couch, they're a constant reminder of the happiness and companionship our pets bring to our lives.

Happy International Dog Day to all the wonderful dogs and dog lovers in our community!
