Middleton along with multiple RFS Brigades are currently on scene at a double stack shipping container fire loaded with plastic christmas trees and christmas decorations. Crews are currently conducting offensive fire fighting to suppress the contents. cooking.

If you have to leave the kitchen, turn the stove off. A hot pan
only needs a minute.

Today, Monday 27 July 2026, the AusAlert system will be tested across Australia, with an alert being sent to all compatible mobile devices within NSW at 2pm.

If your device receives the AusAlert national test, it will vibrate and make a loud siren-like sound for about 10 seconds before stopping, even if your device is on ‘silent’ or ‘do not disturb’.

Keep curtains, bedding, lounges, throws and drying racks at

Switch them off before you leave the room or go to bed. Never
use outdoor heaters indoors.

Look for frays, scorch marks, exposed wires or damage to the
controller. If anything looks off, bin it.

Never fold one while it's on. Never sleep on it switched on.

fabric. Lithium-ion fires can start fast.

Charge on a hard, flat surface. Keep batteries off bedding.
