🚧 UPDATE – Road Closure, Meander Valley Road, Exton 🚧
This post updates information provided in our 18 May 2026 road closure notice for Meander Valley Road, Exton.
📍 What:
Roadworks on Meander Valley Road, Exton, will require a temporary full closure at the culvert construction site to allow excavation across the full width of the road and installation of new stormwater culverts.
As a result, there will be no through access via Exton during the closure period, and road users travelling through the area will need to follow signed detours. Local residents will still be able to access their properties from either side of the closure via designated detours.
📅 When:
• Initial construction activities are expected to commence on Wednesday 27 May 2026, with minor traffic disruptions expected initially.
• A full 24-hour road closure will be in place from 6:00 am Thursday 4 June to 6:00 pm Friday 12 June 2026 (inclusive).
📍 Location of the roadworks:
Roadworks will take place on Meander Valley Road between Station Lane and 3916 Meander Valley Road, Exton. A map showing the road closure area is included below 👇
🚗 Traffic impacts:
• Signed detours will be in place.
• Emergency services will access all properties at all times via designated detour routes.
• Property access for residents will be maintained via signed detours.
👥 Who is impacted:
These works may affect local residents, school bus services, emergency services, public transport operators, freight and agricultural operators, and general road users. Please allow additional travel time and plan alternative travel arrangements.
🛠️ About the works:
The project involves installing reinforced concrete stormwater culverts to improve drainage.
