Prepare now and stay safe:

- Secure loose items like outdoor furniture, umbrellas and trampolines.
- Park your vehicle undercover and away from trees.
- Remember: Floodwater is dangerous. Never enter floodwater.

🚨A quick heads up🚨

The AusAlert National Test will take place at 2pm TODAY, Monday, July 27, 2026.

As part of the test, compatible mobile devices will vibrate and sound a siren for about 10 seconds.

The test will override silent mode and/or Do Not Disturb settings.

There is no need to be alarmed, and no action is required.
This is only a test to make sure the emergency alert system is working properly if and when it is needed.

🚨Only 1 week to go until the AusAlert national warning system is tested (27th July at 2pm)

It does not replace VicEmergency and will only be used in certain situations.

What to expect: You’ll get an alert on your mobile device. It will vibrate and make a loud, siren-like sound that lasts about 10 seconds - even if your phone is on ‘silent’ or ‘do not disturb’.

As this is just a test, you don’t need to do anything. However, in an actual disaster you should follow the alert instructions to keep yourself and others safe.

Monday nights training focused on electrical awareness at structure fires and power lines at MVAs
This is a very important topic as we need to know how to isolate power, and also to maintain awareness of power lines and solar.

Brigade members had a look at our own power setup and also had a look at a solar set up.
