🧵✨ Sewing, snacks, chats and lots of laughter!

Our Women’s Repair Café, organised by the VRB SETS team, was filled with fun, creativity and connection. With guidance from lovely Tracy at TAFE NSW, participants learned practical sewing skills, shared knowledge and enjoyed a relaxing time together.

A big thank you to Australian Red Cross for providing free on-site childcare, allowing the mums to join in and enjoy every moment. ❤️

What a wonderful session! 💛

We loved welcoming the students from James Fallon High School for a conversation about volunteering, community and the many ways each of us can make a difference.

What stood out most was the kindness, enthusiasm and willingness to help that they already brought with them.

A big thank you to Clare O’Sullivan from Sport North East for joining us and sharing the many ways young people can get involved in volunteering through local sporting clubs. The excitement in the room was fantastic to see!

We also extend a warm thank you to the teachers and staff from James Fallon High School for supporting the students and making this visit possible.

Volunteering starts with recognising the strengths, interests and kindness you already have, and finding a place to share them. 🌟
