A big thank you to Colin and Karen, who dropped by the warehouse last week with a generous donation for our Winter Appeal. πŸ’š

After spotting Arnold's fantastic Inflation Feeder Bundle deal, they purchased not one, but two bundles and donated them straight to FoodShare.

Each bundle includes:
πŸ₯” 5kg potatoes
πŸŽƒ A whole pumpkin
πŸ§… 1kg brown onions
πŸ₯• 1kg carrots

For just $9.99 per bundle, they were able to provide a substantial amount of fresh produce that will support local families doing it tough this winter.

It's a great reminder that small actions can have a big impact.

Thank you, Colin and Karen.

A huge thank you to our Community Partner Harris Farm Markets Albury

Recently, our Projects Coordinator Mark visited the team to discuss NSW's new food donation mandates. On average, Harris Farms donates an incredible 22,000kg of fresh produce and grocery items to FoodShare every month.

Those donations are quickly redistributed through our Community Pantry and warehouse, helping fill shopping trolleys, and agency orders to get quality food to people who need it most.

By rescuing food locally and distributing it locally, we're also helping reduce food waste and minimising environmental impact.

We are incredibly fortunate to have such a committed community partner. Thank you to the entire Harris Farm team for your ongoing support.

Tonight, thousands of us will settle in and press play on a streaming service we barely think twice about paying for each month.

But that same amount could help stock a local family's pantry with fresh food and everyday essentials when they need it most.

Food insecurity isn't happening somewhere else. It's affecting people right here in our community.

A small monthly contribution can make a practical difference for local families facing rising costs and tough choices.

Whether you GIVE monthly or GIVE once - all contributions help us feed locals
GIVE today and help us build food security, together.

You can help, pack a box, bag or boot full of non-perishable food items and drive through to donate.

Food insecurity is not a problem happening somewhere else. It’s happening here, in our own community.

In the past 12 months, 1 in 3 Australian households experienced food insecurity. Many of the people facing hardship are employed or actively seeking work, yet rising living costs are making it harder to afford everyday essentials.

As demand for support continues to grow, it’s clear this challenge belongs to all of us β€” residents, businesses, community organisations and local leaders alike.

Through local, flexible support, FoodShare can respond quickly to community needs and help ensure vulnerable people receive assistance when they need it most.

He's back just in time for winter! ❄️

If you've followed FoodShare for a while, you'll know John. Every few months, he arrives at our Community Pantry with a generous donation, and this time was no exception.

John delivered an incredible 265kg of food, including meat, cheese, butter, milk, cereal, eggs, oil, frozen vegetables, pumpkins, coffee, tea and other pantry essentials.

As demand for food relief continues across our region, donations like John's help ensure local families and individuals can access the nutritious food they need.

Thank you, John, for continuing to help us build food security, together. πŸ’š
