A huge thank you to Paul from Supergoat media for stopping by our Community Pantry earlier this week to capture a day in the life of FoodShare. 📸

Paul has captured some amazing moments for us over the years — from team headshots and volunteer profiles, to the family fun at the Border Easter Egg Hunt, behind-the-scenes videos of our operations and stories showing the impact FoodShare has across our community.

Having great images and videos helps us share our story, show the work happening every day and bring our community along for the journey.

We were delighted to welcome the Governor of Victoria, Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner AC, to FoodShare today.

It was a wonderful opportunity to showcase the work of our incredible volunteers, and the vital role FoodShare plays in supporting people and communities across our region.

We also shared our plans for a purpose-built facility, which will be a critical piece of regional infrastructure that will expand our capacity to rescue, store and distribute more food, strengthen our emergency response capability, and create new opportunities to support our community.

FoodShare is proud to be part of a community that comes together to make a difference. We thank the Governor for taking the time to visit us and learn more about our impact, vision for the future and the generosity of our community.

We’re incredibly proud to receive this Award it is a reflection of the amazing people and partnerships behind FoodShare. Innovation for us is about finding better ways to create lasting community impact.

Two years ago, we didn’t even know what a Virtual Energy Network (VEN) was. In our first year, 70% of our surplus energy was shared across our five sites. This year, we expanded our VEN to include seven other community organisations across regional Victoria...
..and we’re just getting started, through our Powered by Our Community initiative, we’re encouraging businesses to donate their surplus energy to support a growing network of community organisations — helping them direct more resources towards community programs instead of power bills.

Very exciting day at the FoodShare warehouse! 🚛💚

Yesterday, our new six-pallet truck arrived, giving our team even more capacity to collect and distribute food across our region.

A huge thank you to the NSW Environment Protection Authority, Visy and the Pratt Foundation for funding this important addition to our operations.

A special thank you to David from SecondBite who delivered our new truck — along with a truckload of food for our region!
