The 10 minutes before the wedding ceremony matters. They’re one of my favourite little pockets of a wedding day.

As a Wollongong / South Coast marriage celebrant, this is where I bring everyone together for a quick check in. When people know what’s happening, they relax and that way, they enjoy it.

Even Archie, the dog wonder, performed his part beautifully- a zigzag zoomie down the aisle🤩

Cameras allowed or not allowed during the wedding ceremony? Most say no however in this ceremony, on Cupitt's Estate grandma was FaceTime from Brisbane and was absolutely overjoyed to be there watching the ceremony happen.

We all welcomed the Matriarch and a special welcome from the couple, Bethany and Adam, made this a special start to the ceremony.

At our planning stage I ask couples, if there are guests who can’t make it to ceremony but would love to be there. There are ways to include them.

So yes cameras can be good if inserted wisely.

Here’s a fresh perspective on the first kiss. The photographer made the most of the hill at the front of the ceremony, capturing the kiss and every smiling face. Love to bottle this.

Today I’m onsite with family and dearest friend, planning next week’s Celebration of Life. Every detail is thoughtfully considered to honour the loved one.

I’m honoured and in awe of the incredible contribution over a long period of time Mel gave to the cultural life and community of women for our region.

Mel loved gerberas. I looked up the symbolism - cheerfulness, strength.

And this bright open bloom with a little heart in the centre is perfect for her. Although red would have been better to match her flame red hair.
