Rise and Shine is our environmental clean up program. Whether as individuals or community groups everyone can be a part of the program an d help remove rubbish across our outdoor spaces. The clean up is simple - you pull on the gloves and pick up the rubbish and then, once done, we’ll collect the rubbish and dispose of it. Plus, in recognition of your commitment to support the environment, participants will go into our end of year draw to win some prizes for your efforts. Pretty great right?
Can’t organise a clean up? Come to one we’ve already planned! We’ve got monthly clean ups that the community are welcome to attend. Visit https://wollongong.nsw.gov.au/environment/natural-areas/natural-areas-programs/rise-and-shine to learn more and join an event.

Rise & Shine is our longest-running environmental clean-up program.

As a young person from one of Wollongong’s local schools puts it: "I feel safe when I am with people I trust."

🏉🎭 Get ready for a full day of fun in the CBD this Sunday!
