๐ŸŽ‰NEW HONORARY FREEMAN OF THE SHIRE OF WONGAN-BALLIDU ๐ŸŽ‰

The Shire of Wongan-Ballidu Council is delighted to announce that Mr. Peter Macnamara is to be awarded with the title of Honorary Freeman of the Shire of Wongan-Ballidu. The title of Honorary Freeman is the highest honour that can be bestowed on a community citizen, and it recognises the outstanding accomplishments made by Peter over several decades within our district. ๐ŸŒฑ

Peter was a Shire Councillor for 18 years, which included 10 years as the Shire President. Throughout his years of service, Peter played a vital role in the growth, development and long-term sustainability of the Shire of Wongan-Ballidu. His vision, leadership and commitment to community outcomes were instrumental in delivering numerous significant projects and initiatives.

๐Ÿšง ROAD CLOSURE โ€“ CRAIG ROAD

Please be advised that Arc Infrastructure will be undertaking works on the rail crossing on Craig Road on Tuesday, 15 September.

To allow these works to be completed safely, Craig Road will be closed at the rail crossing for the duration of the works. Detours will be in place.

Motorists are asked to plan ahead, allow additional travel time and use an alternative route while the closure is in place.

Thank you for your patience and understanding while these works are undertaken.

The Shire of Wongan-Ballidu are seeking to employ a permanent Plant Operator to join our Works and Services Department. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for working as a backhoe/excavator operator, but duties may not be limited to the operation of these machines.๐Ÿšง

The applicants must hold a minimum of a โ€œHCโ€ class motor driver's licence. Training will be available for the successful candidates.

โž•Conditions of Employment are in accordance with the Local Government Industry Award 2020 and with generous overtime available.
