Congratulations to the Introduction to Manufacturing students on completing the course! 👏

Pictured are students Olivia, Steve and Zach with Peter Sherrin, General Manager Capeview Building Products BCAL Centre Manager David Leslie, and teacher Daryl Pellizzer.

The course combined classroom learning with real-world industry knowledge, with Peter sharing insights into how apprenticeships are managed and the skills employers are looking for. Students gained valuable understanding of manufacturing careers, workplaces and employment pathways.

Thank you to Bass Coast Community Foundation for generously funding one of the student places, and to ACFE for supporting Daryl to co-design the course in partnership with Capeview Building Products.

A big thank you to Andrea Linn from Gippsland Skills and Jobs Centre and .luna_tans for visiting our Salon Assistant students and sharing her small business journey.

As an international trainer and successful business owner, Andrea spoke about everything from registering a business, insurance, pricing and managing finances, to building a personal brand, attracting ideal clients and using social media effectively.

Students gained valuable real-world insights into the beauty industry, including the importance of ongoing learning, industry certifications, treating clients like family, and surrounding yourself with positive role models.

One of Andrea's key messages was to stay genuine, back yourself, and consistently show up as the person you want to become. Thank you, Andrea, for your honesty, inspiration and practical advice.
