The Wonthaggi Neighbourhood Centre is a warm, friendly and inviting place. Come and see us to pick up a copy or our term program, have a nice hot cuppa and a chat. We offer activities such as playgroups, youth groups, craft groups, support groups, a community garden and men's shed program at our Harvest Centre site. We are a community organisation to support the local community. Membership: We enc

ourage everyone to become Members: the annual fee is $10.00 per individual and $15.00 per family. Members receive reduced fees on most activities and a posted or emailed program each term and weekly electronic updates via the ‘WonniGrapevine’. Membership is also another way to support your Neighbourhood Centre. LEARNSHARE: Neighbourhood Houses began in the 1970’s with people coming together to share their knowledge and skills with each other at low or no cost in a process we have called LearnShare. LearnShare recognizes that throughout our lives whether working with our hands, our head or our heart, we all acquire valuable knowledge and skills. As part of the ongoing process of lifelong learning we can all learn something new or share what we know - through LearnShare. If you would like to share a skill or experience call and let us know. FEES for LEARNSHARE and FAMILY MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS! - We know that even though our fees are low, if there are a number of activities you’d like to do each week, costs can start adding up! To help reduce the financial squeeze we’ve introduced a new system: If you do two LearnShare activities in any one week - the third or subsequent LearnShare activity in that same week is FREE! Also a Family Membership entitles ALL MEMBERS of the family to attend activities for a single LearnShare cost of $4.00 per activity (unless material costs required). BOOKINGS: All our activities are planned according to availability of our LearnShare facilitators and other tutors. Bookings are required for all activities unless specifically stated. We know that sometimes you can enrol for a future activity only to find as the date nears you have another commitment. In this instance it’s important to call and let us know of your cancellation as a number or our activities will only proceed if there are sufficient enrolments and facilitators need to be informed. Further, if an activity is cancelled or postponed we can only call and let you know if we have your booking and contact details.
