Celebrating International Day of Play
This morning students celebrated the day on our new obstacle course. Students love the challenge it provides. Thanks to Mrs Wise for picking it up for us and to our wonderful gardeners Kaye and Tim for putting some of the pieces together.
We followed this with a trip to Braeside to watch Musica Viva.

Bush Schools
Today we welcomed Michael Ward from Katter Kich Galleries in Hyden and Pingrup Primary School for our first bush school for 2026.
Students from Kindy -Year 6 had an amazing day, going for a bush walk to collect sandalwood nuts and find animal tracks. They also threw spears and made their own dream catcher from Quandong nuts , emu feathers and the nuts they each collected.
Special thanks to our P and C for cooking the sausage sizzle for students and staff and to the staff for participating in the day and supporting students.

Biggest Morning Tea
Our Kindergarten students and Miss Hannan invited members of the community to the school for the biggest morning tea. Our Kindergarten students decorated the tables, made fairy bread and Anzac biscuits and welcomed their guests.
We had many guests and thanks to all who braved the cold weather.

Assembly and p and c day
Today we celebrated P & C day after assembly. With a special speech from Eva and Brooke Moulden blowing out a special cake with 10 candles, one for every student at Woodanilling. Thanks to our amazing P &C for all that you do, it was a great opportunity to recognise you.
Congratulations also to our Merit Certificate recipients Chase and Hunter and to Eva for being awarded Aussie of the Month.
We must also congratulate the Year 1-3 students for their informative and humorous assembly on the rock cycle. It definitely allowed their characters to shine through.

Mother’s Day afternoon
What a lovely day we had for Mothers Day afternoon today. Students had created a Photo Booth for their photos and enjoyed giving mums and grandmas a hand massage. Finally they created a photo page with mum to take home .

Partnership with Remedy Health Collective
We are excited to announce our first visit from Ellie, a private speech pathologist. The school has organised 4 visits per term to support our students, the first one is this coming Thursday. Ellie with provide individual speech sessions, develop plans for staff to use with students at school. She will also support Miss Hannan to develop the Kindergarten oral language program plan for the term. Parents who wish their child to have support please contact the school.
