๐ŸŒŸ A Busy and Exciting Term 2 in MUP 9 ๐ŸŒŸ

Term 2 has been a busy and exciting time in MUP 9! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ“š

We have been exploring the topic of living and non-living things ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿชจ through hands-on investigations ๐Ÿ” and play-based learning experiences ๐ŸŽฒ. Our classroom is filled with engaging learning areas, including small-world play trays ๐Ÿก๐Ÿšœ, sensory experiences โœจ๐Ÿ–๏ธ, mathematics activities ๐Ÿ”ข, and a variety of books and texts ๐Ÿ“– that encourage curiosity and discovery.

We have also been learning about healthy living ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿฅ• and developing our understanding of emotions and relationships โค๏ธ๐Ÿ˜Š. Through our daily interactions, students are learning how their actions can affect the feelings of others ๐Ÿค and are building strong friendships within our classroom community ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿคโ€๐Ÿง‘.

These friendships provide opportunities to experience and share a wide range of emotions, from happiness and excitement ๐Ÿ˜„๐ŸŽ‰ to frustration and disappointment ๐Ÿ˜”. Through these experiences, we are developing empathy ๐Ÿ’•, resilience ๐ŸŒŸ, and emotional awareness ๐Ÿง โœจ.

Our favourite activities continue to be those that keep us active and engaged! ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ•บ We especially love dancing ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽต and enjoying a friendly game of UNO ๐Ÿƒ together.

What a wonderful term of learning, growing, and having fun! ๐ŸŒˆโœจ๐Ÿ˜Š

๐ŸŒŸ My Favourite Things in EP10 ๐ŸŒŸ

EP10 have been busy engaging in our unit, My Favourite Things! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ“š

We have been reading some of our favourite stories, including ๐Ÿ“– ๐Ÿ› The Hungry Caterpillar, ๐Ÿป Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?, ๐ŸŒฟ Weโ€™re Going on a Bear Hunt, and ๐Ÿฆ Dear Zoo. We have also enjoyed singing our favourite nursery rhymes ๐ŸŽถ, including ๐Ÿฆ† Five Little Ducks and ๐Ÿ•ท๏ธ Incy Wincy Spider.

The students have enjoyed using their favourite things to explore ๐Ÿ”ค letters, ๐Ÿ”ข numbers, ๐Ÿ”ท patterns, and ๐Ÿ”บ shapes. We would also like to thank the SES ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿš’ for visiting our school, which was a wonderful experience that we all enjoyed.

We have been exploring different places around our school ๐Ÿซ, and our favourite place to visit is the Sensory Garden ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒผ. There, we enjoy exploring the waterway ๐Ÿ’ง, playing in the sand ๐Ÿ–๏ธ, and participating in movement activities such as kicking balls โšฝ and climbing on the climbing frame ๐Ÿง—โ€โ™€๏ธ.

Our favourite musical activity is drumming ๐Ÿฅ๐ŸŽต. As we continue to build positive relationships with our peers ๐Ÿค, we are also developing our communication skills ๐Ÿ’ฌ. We are focusing on turn-taking, sharing, and finding common interests with others to help us connect and learn together.

We warmly welcome our new students to our classroom ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘‹ and look forward to exploring all of your favourite things with you! ๐ŸŒˆโœจ๐Ÿ’›

๐ŸŒŸ Learning While Doing Our Favourite Things in EP7 ๐ŸŒŸ

What a busy term it has been! ๐ŸŽ‰

EP7 have been enjoying visits to the gym twice a week. One of our favourite activities is climbing the rock wall ๐Ÿง—โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿง—โ€โ™‚๏ธ and reaching all the way to the top! We also know the importance of safety and understand that only one person can climb at a time.

The trampoline, tunnel, and sensory lights are always very popular! ๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธโœจ We have been building our confidence and practising jumping as high as we can.

Another highlight this term was the SES visit ๐Ÿš’๐Ÿšจ. We loved exploring the vehicles, pressing buttons, and beeping the horn. BEEP! BEEP! ๐Ÿ“ฃ The four-wheel drive vehicle was also lots of fun to sit in and explore.

Back in the classroom, some of our favourite activities include pretending to be builders and using toy saws, drills, and screwdrivers ๐Ÿ”จ๐Ÿชš๐Ÿ”ง. We also enjoy taking on the role of bus driver ๐ŸšŒ, creating amazing constructions with LEGOยฎ bricks and magnetic shapes ๐Ÿ—๏ธ. Our magnetic shape houses are getting taller and taller!

Outside, we love riding the red cars ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’จ around the Quad play area. We enjoy racing our friends while remembering to stay safe and watch out for people in our path.

BEEP! BEEP! ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ˜Š

We have been learning, growing, and having lots of fun along the way! ๐ŸŒˆโœจ

๐ŸŒŸ MUP 7 has had a wonderfully busy, creative, and engaging semester at school! ๐ŸŒŸ

Our big focus has been Living and Non-Living Things ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿชจ, and our students have explored this through hands-on investigations, sensory experiences, and many joyful learning moments. ๐Ÿ˜Šโœจ

We have balanced our energetic activities with calm, reflective spaces ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ“š โ€” spending time in our reading corner, relaxing in our sensory garden ๐ŸŒฟ, and practising the routines that help us feel settled, confident, and ready to learn.

Throughout the semester, we have:

๐Ÿ” Investigated living and non-living things through play and exploration
๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿ’ƒ Joined in drumming and dancing sessions full of rhythm and movement
๐Ÿซง Created bubbles and explored cause and effect
๐Ÿ”ข Played with patterns and early maths concepts
๐ŸŽ Learned about healthy eating and making positive choices
๐Ÿงฑ Shared LEGO and developed our social skills
๐Ÿ‘Ÿ๐Ÿงฆ Built independence with our socks, shoes, and home-time routines

We are incredibly proud of the curiosity, confidence, and growth shown by every student in MUP 7. ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ’›

What a beautiful mix of learning, movement, creativity, and calm this semester has been! โœจ We cannot wait to see what you discover next. ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŒŸ

It is with much sadness that I pass on the news that Ian Townsend, owner of Townsend Buses, has passed this week.

Ian was an incredibly generous man, always making sure that our students never missed out. He was always generous with providing buses and drivers for our excursions at no cost to us. In the instance where a bus was not available, he was even known to purchase the trip for us through other bus lines. He also provided the ice cream truck for our celebrations each year, as well as added extras like the petting zoos.

A wonderful man who will be very much missed.

๐ŸŒŸ EP9 have been having so much fun learning and growing! ๐ŸŒŸ

We've been exploring our favourite things, building our communication skills, and developing our phonics through engaging, hands-on activities. ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธโœจ

Sensory play is always a highlight, and we love opportunities to move our bodies, play, and learn together. ๐ŸŽจ๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿงฉ

We've also enjoyed exploring different areas of the school, building confidence, independence, and connections along the way. ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿซ๐Ÿ’›

We are so proud of all the learning, smiles, and achievements happening in our classroom every day! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐ŸŒˆโญ

Keep up the amazing work, EP9! ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽ‰
