It's time to dust off those dancing shoes, get your costumes ready and prepare for a frightfully FUN night! 🕷️🪩

Our WoonGHOULba Spooktacular Halloween Disco is coming, and you won't want to miss it!

📅 Friday 30th October

🌿🐨 Year 2 Excursion to Paradise Country! 🐍🐑

Our Year 2 students enjoyed a fantastic excursion to Paradise Country today!

Throughout the day, we had the opportunity to see a wide variety of animals, including kangaroos, koalas, emus, Tasmanian devils, horses, goats and even a shingleback lizard!

Our adventure began by interacting with kangaroos. We then visited the arena, where we watched an impressive whip-cracking demonstration and saw a clever working dog muster a flock of sheep. Next, we learnt how to make traditional billy tea over a campfire before watching some amazing horsemanship tricks.

We were captivated by an animal presentation, where we had the opportunity to see a koala and a shingleback lizard up close. We then worked in groups to measure the lengths of different snakes and even had the chance to touch and pass around some real snakeskin!

Later in the day, we stopped for a quick peek at the meerkats in their enclosure before getting up close and personal with some friendly farm animals, including goats, chickens, ducks and guinea pigs.

The grand finale was an entertaining stage show featuring Shaun the Sheep! We finished our visit with a fun ride on Shaun’s tractor ride which is very similar to a train.

A huge thank you to Amie and Sarah from Paradise Country for guiding us throughout the day and sharing their incredible knowledge of animals. We learnt so much and thoroughly enjoyed our trip. What an amazing day of fun, learning and unforgettable experiences!
