🏊‍♀️ CURIOUS ABOUT SWIMMING CARNIVALS? 🏊‍♂️

Have you ever wondered what swimming carnivals are all about? Or maybe you have a little swimmer who would love to give racing a go? 💙

We have our Junior Tadpole Swim Meet coming up on Saturday the 12th of September! 🏅
✨ 10 years and under
✨ Open to club & non-club members
✨ $10 nominations
✨ Gates open at 8:30am
✨ Racing starts at 9:00am

There will be 12.5m and 25m races in all four strokes, plus kicking races and fun novelty events! 🏊‍♂️🎉
And the best part? No need to pre-book! Simply show up on the day and get involved! 🙌

It’s a fantastic opportunity for younger swimmers to experience the fun and excitement of a swim meet in a friendly and supportive environment.
Come along, have some fun, cheer on the swimmers and see what swimming carnivals are all about! 👏🏅

Woree Sports & Aquatic Centre is looking for enthusiastic people to join our team as:

💦 Learn-to-Swim Teachers
🛟 Pool Lifeguards
⭐ Or combine both roles for up to 30 hours per week

We’re flexible! This opportunity may suit one person looking for plenty of hours or several people interested in working in just one of the roles.

Our greatest need is for Learn-to-Swim Teachers—particularly people who are confident and experienced teaching infants, babies and toddlers.

Already qualified? We’d love to hear from you.

Not yet qualified but genuinely interested in beginning a career in the aquatic industry? Training support may be available for the right applicants.

We’re looking for people who are:

✅ Friendly, reliable and professional
✅ Confident working with children and families
✅ Passionate about swimming and water safety
✅ Available for a range of shifts
✅ Willing to become part of a supportive aquatic team

Woree Sports & Aquatic Centre is a locally operated community facility and home to Li’l Stingers Swim School. Our programs range from infant and toddler lessons through to learn-to-swim, recreational swimming and competitive squads.

Hours are flexible and will depend on your qualifications, experience and availability.

📢 INDOOR POOL CLOSURE REMINDER 🏊‍♀️

Please note that our indoor pool will be closed from Monday 31 August to Thursday 3 September, from 11:15am – 5:30pm each day.

This is due to our school swimming program, followed by our normal swimming lessons.

The indoor pool will reopen to the public after 5:30pm each day.

🏊 7:00am – 12:00pm: Closed for swimming lessons
🔒 12:00pm – 2:00pm: Closed for a private function
🌊 2:00pm – 3:45pm: Open to the public

🚨 Facility Update – Today's Pool Availability 🚨

Please be advised that the 50m pool will be closed from 8:30am to 3:00pm today for the Bentley Park Swimming Carnival.

🏊 General lap swimming will be available from 5:30am - 8:30am and then from 3:00pm onwards.

Just a reminder that the 25m wall will be in place from 3:30pm onwards for our Junior Squad training.

Indoor Pool Availability:
💦 The indoor pool will be closed from 8:30am–10:30am for our baby swimming lessons.
💦 It will also be closed again from 3:30pm–5:30pm for our afternoon Learn to Swim lessons.

Thank you for your understanding and we apologise for any inconvenience. We appreciate your patience while we host these events and programs.
