๐ Funding Secured for Mobile Water Tanker Project ๐๐ง
The Shire is pleased to announce that funding has been secured through the Community Water Supplies Partnership program for the design and manufacture of a 30,000-litre mobile water tanker.
This important investment will:
โ
Improve community water security
โ
Strengthen emergency firefighting capability
โ
Support emergency water supply needs across the district
โ
Reduce reliance on scheme water supplies
The new tanker will provide a reliable and flexible water supply resource, helping to build the resilience of our community and enhancing local emergency response capabilities when they are needed most.
This investment will help ensure our community is better prepared for emergencies and has access to a dependable water source during critical events, including bushfires and other natural disasters.
We thank the State Government for its support and investment in regional water security, emergency preparedness, and community safety.
This project is funded by the Australian Government and the Western Australian Government, and delivered by the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation through the Rural Water Planning section in partnership with the Shire of Wyalkatchem.
Regional communities across Western Australia will benefit from more than $901,000 in water security funding, to help deliver safe and reliable access for the future.
