Your brigade loves ❤️ seeing CFA outlets clearly marked and free of foliage with easy access. 😃
So if youre out in the garden 🪏 and you notice yours is a little hidden, grab the shears and trim back the green stuff so we can find it in a hurry when we need to.

Winter is here and house fires can happen. Remember to clean dryer filters, be careful with heater placement and never leave candles unattended.

The Wye River Fire Brigade is inviting you to join Wye Team and raise money for the Push Up Challenge 2026.

The brigade will donate $500 to South West Lifeline on your behalf but if you are feeling generous and wish to make your own personal donation you can do this via The PushUp Challenge app.

Download the Push Up Challenge app on your phone
Sign up as an individual (name, password, T & C's etc. DON'T SIGN UP AS WYE TEAM, just you)
Then find the 'join a team' button and look for Wye Team, you should be directed to Wye River Fire Brigade page below.

The app will provide daily updates and challenges so please check regularly from 3rd - 26th June.
When the challenge begins on the 3rd June use your app to record your push ups or other exercise that you have done.

The housing of the power bank can come apart at the join due to swelling, compromising the battery and may cause it to overheat or catch fire.

The hazards to consumers:
Risk of serious burn injuries or property damage if the battery overheats or catches fire.

What consumers should do:

The Victorian government has announced a $365 million investment towards firefighting upgrades across the state.

One west town hopes the funding will deliver a new station to accommodate its fire truck.
