Congratulations to our Yankalilla Area School community!
We are thrilled to announce that Yankalilla Area School has received a Bronze Medal for our very own olive oil in the Royal Adelaide Olive Awards 2026!
This is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful recognition of the hard work, dedication and teamwork of our students, staff and wider school community who have helped bring our olive grove and farm program to life.
Our award-winning olive oil and table olives are now available to purchase from the school Front Office.

🎤 Preparing for the Lions Speaking Contest!

Our students were incredibly fortunate to welcome Darryl Houston and Shane Grocke from Yankalilla District Council as guest speakers for students in Years 4–9. 👏✨

Darryl and Shane shared their valuable knowledge, experience and advice to help our students prepare for the upcoming Lions Speaking Contest. It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to learn from members of our local community, build their confidence and develop their public speaking skills. 🌟💬

A huge thank you to Shane and Darryl for giving up their time to come and speak with our students. We really appreciate your support of our school and our students! 🌟

We are thrilled to celebrate Max's success in progressing to PEER's Top 12 competitors in the WorldSkills Electrical selection process! 🎉👏

From a field of more than 500 competitors, Max has earned a place in the next selection heat. This is an outstanding reflection of his dedication, hard work, and exceptional electrical skills.

Max will now compete for a place at the WorldSkills Australia National Championships, where he will continue developing and showcasing his skills. 🏆🇦🇺

We are incredibly proud of everything Max has achieved so far and wish him the very best of luck in the next stage of the competition! 🍀⚡
