A couple of new arrivals this week after the Mawarra Genetics ladies Day Sale including the a couple of hats pictured which the kids love. A Tobruk Southern Cross daughter and Mawarra Influential daughter to add to our Registered herd. Looking forward to seeing what they can produce in the years to come.

After a challenging Autumn, then winter particularly drier than normal and now enjoying a wetter spring . ..Joining complete with a select group of joining sires we are delighted to see what 2026 holds as our 10week scans have confirmed a few exciting prospects coming in 2026! A sneak peak of our first crop of our 10month old bulls are shaping up well for our first innaugural field day and sale in 2026. Bulls by Mawarra, Spring Run & Tarcombe sires with Polled and horned options featured. These will be joined by a handful of yearlings unjoined heifers by Wirruna Smokin Joe heifers and some PTIC maiden heifers.

Bit of a special one hit the ground recently, earlier this year we decided we would see if our first stud sire affectionately nicknamed “Strong John” (by the kids after a Wiggles character ID METT005) was able to “Mop up” successfully. At preg test time in April with KH Livestock Service we found his services were required and had done the job. End Result in the picture below. Mother is HRPQ009. Almost identical marking to her mother.

Continuing on with a few more calves hitting the deck in recent days..another pair worth sharing is one of our foundation Heifers born on the property! METT001 DV Doreen 058 with a heifer by Wirruna Smokin Joe S010. Very identical white markings on the belly and legs to her mother. Hopefully a few more to join her in the coming days🤞
