It's nearly that time! Yarrawonga SES will be joining Yarrawonga CFA and Central Murray Bank again this year for the RCH Good Friday Appeal, Friday 3rd April.

We are looking for any kids with their parents who would like to help us to collect for the day 👨‍👨‍👧‍👧👨‍👩‍👦‍👦👨‍👨‍👧‍👦👩‍👩‍👧‍👦👨‍👩‍👧‍👧

We will meet at the Yarrawonga CFA shed at 8 am on Friday 🕗🗓️

Last Tuesday we had our first Cluster Training of the year at Yarrawonga LHQ 🔷🔶

Established in 2022 by our controller Jason and Wangaratta controller Jess, our cluster includes the Yarrawonga, Wangaratta, Chiltern, Rutherglen and Benalla Units.

This means, once a month we gather together to train and socialise, so we can share our members knowledge and skills, as well as get to know our neighbouring units.

For the first cluster training of the year, we shared ideas for upcoming training topics, met new members and cooked 150 sausages 😮🌭

Seeing this many SES volunteers in one place for a Tuesday training; who want to learn from each other and support each other, is pretty cool 👏

Our thoughts and love are with the Bondi community, including our mates in the Emergency Services.

There is nothing that could truly prepare you for that kind of callout, no matter how much training you've done or how long you've served. But you suit up, show up and stand up for your community, even on the most devastating of days.

The bravery of first responders, healthcare workers and the community, in the face of terrifying events, is something that we look upon with pride and can never truly describe what it means to us, with mere words.

We call you heroes. Because its the best we can do. But today, it doesn't sound like enough.

To all those impacted by yesterday's tragic event, across Australia and the world, our hearts are with you 💙🧡

Our crew has been hanging out at the Yarrawonga Mulwala Rod Run this morning!

As always, we were able to show the community a Road Crash Rescue Demonstration, and our crew made light work of this little Fiat!

Yesterday, our crew had a great time at the Yarrawonga Mulwala Agricultural Show!

As always, we were able to show the community what we do, with a Road Crash Rescue Demonstration.

We love attending community events and talking with our community about how to keep themselves safe during storms and floods ⛈️🌊

Thank you to Nikita for stepping into the lead Community Engagement role and helping our crew be organised for the day.
