Congratulations to Ryder Matthews on beginning a Certificate III in Marine Mechanical Technology school based apprenticeship at Yarrawonga Marine Centre.

Ryder is stepping into an exciting hands‑on pathway, working with boat engines and a range of mechanical systems within the marine service and repair industry. As part of his training, he will attend block week classes at Kangan Institute in Docklands, Melbourne, where he’ll develop skills in maintenance, repair, and diagnostic testing of marine engines.

Ryder recently shared, “Being around the lake over the last few years, I’ve developed a real interest in boats and how they work. Through the SBAT, I hope to learn more about watercraft and small engines and eventually use these skills to pursue future job opportunities—or even take over the family‑owned business.”

Ryder will complete his SBAT alongside his Year 11 VCE studies at Yarrawonga College P-12.

Wishing you all the very best, Ryder!
