Book Week is happening next week, and we’ve got a great selection of costumes at the Yarrawonga Toy Library to help bring your little one’s favourite book characters to life! 🦸‍♀️🧚‍♂️🦖👑

Whether they want to be a princess, superhero, animal or something a little more magical, we’ve got plenty of costumes to choose from! 📖✨

Become a member, choose your toys, take them home and play. When you're done, clean and return them - and then you get to borrow more! It's that simple, fun and a great way to save money and reduce clutter in your home.

Happy back to school week! We are excited to have 3 new toys on our shelves this week. Come in and check them out - wooden conveyor belt, mixer and forklift. They got a sneak preview at the Kids Play Expo last week. We want to keep them in tip-top condition so they will be an inside-only toy. As you can see they work well with Duplo blocks. We are back to Friday and Sunday opening from this week. YMTL.sets.com.au

Embracing Food & Play

Supporting families through the early stages of growth and development, Embracing Food & Play covers key topics including:
• Introducing solids and baby-led weaning
• Understanding and safely introducing common allergens
• Transitioning from milk feeds
• Fun play, games and tummy time to support development
• Self-care and wellbeing for new parents

Practical, supportive and evidence-informed, these sessions are designed to build confidence and support both babies and their parents during this important stage.

Volunteering is what keeps toy libraries going and we are on the hunt for some more committee members 💕

Every borrowed toy, every organised shelf, every family welcomed through the door and every toy library session opened is made possible by volunteers.

This National Volunteer Week, we’re celebrating the people behind the toy libraries across Australia. The 11,800+ volunteers who give their time, energy and care so children and families can access places to play, connect and belong in their community.

This year’s theme, “Your year to volunteer”, is a reminder that volunteering can create connection, confidence, friendships and a real sense of belonging, not just for families visiting toy libraries, but for the volunteers themselves. Whether it’s meeting other parents, giving back to the community, building skills or being part of something meaningful, volunteering at a toy library can make a real difference for everyone involved.

To every toy library volunteer, thank you for everything you do for your community.
